Dr Ueffing shares contracted partnership and intensive collaborations with several of the proposers of this RTN in two EU 5th FW projects (contract no's: HPRN-CT-2000-00098; QLK6-CT-2000-00569; QLK6-CT-2001-00385). He has conducted two workshops within the frame of these research networks, the latest in September 2002 as a practical training course in proteomics. He is the coordinator of a major national scientific consortium on Functional Proteomics (contract 031U108 by the German Federal Ministry for Science and Technology). His international collaborations outside the network include Profs. Ruben Adler, Johns Hopkins Univ. Baltimore, David Papermaster, Department of Neuroscience MC 3401, University of Connecticut Health Center, David Hicks, INSERM Strasbourg and Andreas Wenzel, Univ. of Zurich. From his previous background as group leader in pharmaceutical industry (Parke-Davies), Marius Ueffing pays specific attention to translational research.
