Training

Within the framework of the 'RETNET' programme, young and experienced researchers are taught different research methods ("In-lab-training"). In addition to these aims, the 'RETNET' programme acts as an interface between the different participating research teams and applied clinical research by providing obligatory exchanges of the young researchers between the participating laboratories (transfer of knowledge) and especially directed training courses. Furthermore, in addition to the scientific and methodological education, the young researchers are trained in communication, presentation of results, personal management, application procedures and ethics in science ("Complementary training"). The participating research teams know what is relevant to young researchers in the field:

These young scientists feel the pressure to build their research portfolios and apply for fellowships within major institutions.
