The key element of the ‘NEUROTRAIN’ training programme is the support of Early Stage Researchers (ESR) and enabling their establishment as productive young scientists in their chosen field. Most important, the fellowship will provide training in both research and transferable skills in preparation for the broader requirements of a scientific career in academia, industry or in alternative career paths. This scheme of an integrated structured development comprises:

  • Summerschools, covering theoretical and practical (‘wet-lab’) aspects for all ESR
  • Invited lectures, complementary training and team building measures for all ESR
  • Individual tailored, subject specific in-lab training for each young researcher
  • Subject specific lab rotations and advanced methodological lab rotations
  • Establishment of a Personal Development Plan (PDP) for each ESR
