Tapetum lucidum of the cat won picture competition 2013
Sylvia Bolz from the Institute for Ophthalmic Research in Tuebingen (Lab of M. Ueffing) was this year’s winner of the Picture Competition “The Best Photo in Vision Research and Ophthalmology”, organized by the European Vision Institute in cooperation with Heidelberg Engineering GmbH.
Sylvia’s electron microscopic image of the tapetum lucidum of the cat eye convinced the independent review panel by its scientific and aesthetic quality. Congratulation to Ms Bolz for this success.
