Registrations for FameLab Germany 2020 are now open

FameLab is one of the biggest science communication competitions in the world

Participants have just three minutes to win over the judges and crowd with a scientific talk that excels for its content, clarity and charisma.

Every year, we see some of the most impressive young researchers on the FameLab regional heat stages across Germany. The two best partipants of every regional heat go on to the national final in Bielefeld to compete for the chance to represent Germany at the FameLab International final at the Cheltenham Science Festival in the UK.

In March 2020, FameLab returns to the stage – the competition for scientific communication. True to the motto "Talking Science" scientists from far over 20 countries are given the opportunity to present their research on stage at this event. What's special? The presentation mustn't be longer than 3 minutes and has to contain the right amount of science and wit to carry the mostly non- professional audience and an expert panel. Facilities like PowerPoint presentations are not allowed.
