Upcoming Talk: Targeting VCP in Inherited Retinal Dystrophies
Speakers from IOR Tübingen: Blanca Arango-Gonzalez, MD and Marius Ueffing, PhD
Dr. Blanca Arango-Gonzalez and Prof. Dr. Marius Ueffing have been invited to give a presentation by the patient advocacy organization Cure VCP Disease. The organization supports research and raises awareness for diseases linked to mutations in the valosin-containing protein (VCP) gene. These rare genetic conditions can affect muscles, bones, and the nervous system and currently have no curative treatments.
Cure VCP Disease brings together patients, families, clinicians, and researchers to accelerate the development of therapies and strengthen the research community working on VCP-related disorders. The organization also hosts international scientific and community meetings that connect researchers with patient groups worldwide.
Dr. Arango-Gonzalez and Prof. Ueffing will present a talk entitled “Targeting VCP in Inherited Retinal Dystrophies” on Thursday, March 26 at 5:00 PM (Berlin/Rome time).
