Vision Rehabilitation

Mission statement:

Despite improved treatment options many diseases of the eyes and visual pathway are associated with persistent visual deficits, which require rehabilitation. The purpose of our work is to improve vision for the visually impaired by optimizing residual vision with the aim to improve clinically relevant functions for the daily living demands. This also improves independence and quality of life for the patients. The research results are transferred to clinical and practical applications and further developed to generally available devices.

Additionally, this research and clinical application aims to build the bridge between Neuro-Ophthalmology and Vision Rehabilitation, which will benefit both fields.
